Building accessible, flexible learning materials with Chirun

Chirun: (LaTeX / Markdown / Jupyter notebook) to (HTML / slides / PDF)

Accessibility is the primary motivation.

• Lecturers don’t change what they do.

• Produce several formats.

• Then think about how to offer more.

Chirun is a command-line tool written in Python.

There’s a web interface.

An LTI tool manages integration with the VLE.

I’d like more input on accessibility.

Other tools may be more suitable for other purposes.
